Telehouse North Issue


Dear client,
 
One of our routers in Telehouse North is experiencing an issue, it looks like a circuit between THN and another data centre failed and caused some re-convergence on the network, this router provides a connection to our DSL platform and LINX and will have caused some minor instability on the network.

We are currently investigating this and will come back to you with an update ASAP.

The situation has now normalised and we apologise for any inconvenience.   We will speak to the circuit provider on this matter.

CLOSED - Issue in Manchester


Dear client,
 
We have been notified of an issue with comms to Manchester POPs, we are currently examining this and will report back shortly.

Our backhaul provider has confirmed that they have had issues on their network which were service affecting between 00:58 and 01:12 for a total of 14 minutes
 
The affect of this issue was minimal and Internet traffic would have routed out via our Cogent feed in Telecity Williams.


 We are working with our backhaul provider and will provide a full RFO ASAP to all affected clients.

CLOSED - Level3 Issue


Dear client,
 
One of our Level3 transit ports is currently down which is affecting a number of our clients directly connected to Level3 over our network platform.    We have had news that there is a power outage at the Braham Street data centre which is the source of the wavelength used to deliver this service and thus the cause of this issue.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, as soon as we know more we will let you know.

Please note that there is no risk to our transit network due to this outage as we have an additional feed from Level3 sourced in a different POP, plus feeds from Cogent and NTT.

Level3 feed is now back up and running, we will send an RFO to all affected clients ASAP.

CLOSED - Issue in LDeX1 with core-1.dex


Hi,
 
We are experiencing some instability on core-1.ldex at the moment which we are looking into, initial investigation is showing that Level3 is flapping.

 We will let you know the outcome ASAP

Our BGP feed to Level3 feed did flap earlier and traffic re routed via our backup transit feeds with no loss of service.   A ticket has been logged with the carrier to determine the route cause.
